Quick answer

Bloop Studio is a free Windows app from MarketDragon. You lay out your story as cards (Text, Image, Video, Upload, Note and Audio), wire them together and press Generate. It renders stills and video with sound on your own graphics card, with no ComfyUI to learn. You can also sign in with a bloop account to render on bloop's cloud models. Download it at /bloop-studio.

Bloop Studio is a free Windows app for making AI films. You lay out your story as cards, wire the cards together, and press Generate. It renders stills and video with sound on your own graphics card.

Download Bloop Studio for Windows. This post explains what you get and how to start.

What Bloop Studio is

Most free, local AI video tools run on ComfyUI, a node-based engine. It is powerful, and it takes time to learn. Bloop Studio puts a film board in front of it instead. You think in shots. The app picks the right workflow for your PC behind every card.

The board has six kinds of card:

  • Text
  • Image
  • Video
  • Upload
  • Note
  • Audio

Drag a wire from one card to the next and the story reads left to right.

What you can do with it

  • Video with sound. Describe the rain on the roof and the distant thunder in your words, and the clip comes back with them.
  • First frame to last frame. Wire one picture in as the first frame and another as the last, and the clip travels from one to the other.
  • The same cast in every shot. Wire one Cast card and one Location card into every shot, so people and places look the same throughout.
  • Voices, sound effects and music. An Audio card makes them from its words, on bloop's cloud models when you are signed in. Voices come from ElevenLabs, MiniMax and Qwen3 TTS, music from Suno.
  • The Director, if you want it. A chat that lays out cast, locations and shots on the board for you. You bring your own Claude or OpenAI key.
  • Every take kept. Renders are saved as takes in your Videos folder. The app updates itself and keeps your boards.

Each shot is its own render. A film is a board of shots you build, check and cut together, not something that comes out of a single prompt.

Three ways to run it

  1. On your own GPU (offline). Install the offline engine once. Every render is free, it works with no internet, and your files never leave your PC.
  2. On bloop cloud (online). Sign in with your bloop account and render on bloop's models. Nothing to install, any PC will do.
  3. Both. Draft free on your GPU, then send the hero shot to a cloud model. Each card picks its own model.

The app is free either way. The bloop account is optional and only adds the cloud models. Signing in opens a bloop page in your browser, you press Allow, and the app never sees your password. A new account starts with free credits. A free plan sees the lower-cost cloud models, and Lite and above see all of them. For plans, see /pricing.

Who it is for

  • Creators and small brands who want to storyboard and render AI video without learning a node graph.
  • People with a gaming or workstation PC who would rather render at home than pay per clip.
  • People with a modest PC who still want the board: sign in and use the cloud models.

What your PC needs

For You need
System Windows 10 or 11 (Mac and Linux are not supported yet)
Pictures on your GPU NVIDIA, 8 GB or more
Video with sound on your GPU NVIDIA, 12 GB or more
AMD cards (beta) 16 GB or more, for pictures and silent drafts
Disk space About 40 GB free for the offline engine and its models
Memory 32 GB RAM recommended for video on your GPU
Cloud only Any Windows 10 or 11 PC, signed in

The page notes one test: on an RTX 3080 Ti, a 5-second 480p clip took about a minute. Your speed will depend on your card.

You do not need to check by hand. Install offline engine reads your card and offers only what it can run.

How to start

  1. Download and install. Run the installer and pick a folder. It adds Desktop and Start menu shortcuts. Windows may say "Windows protected your PC" because the installer is not code-signed yet. Choose More info, then Run anyway.
  2. Choose online, offline or both. Press Install offline engine to render on your GPU, or sign in with bloop to render in the cloud. Signing in is a browser page with an Allow button; see how it works.
  3. Make your first shot. Start a new space, add a Text card and a Video card, wire one into the other and press Generate. Progress and time left show on the card.

Updates and where files go

The app checks for a new version when it starts and every few hours. It downloads in the background and shows Restart to update. Your boards, settings and renders are kept. Renders are saved in Videos\Bloop Studio in your user folder, or any folder you choose in Settings.

What is coming next

A video editor to cut your takes on a timeline, and a canvas editor to touch up a still. These are not in the app yet.

Learn it with us

If you would rather learn with someone beside you, we run live weekend workshops. See /events.

Frequently asked questions

What is Bloop Studio?

A free Windows app for making AI films from a board of cards. You wire cards together, press Generate, and it renders stills and video with sound on your own graphics card. Download it at /bloop-studio.

Is Bloop Studio really free?

Yes. The app is free, and everything you render on your own graphics card is free, with no account. Only bloop cloud models use bloop credits, and those are optional.

Do I need to know ComfyUI to use Bloop Studio?

No. Bloop Studio runs ComfyUI for you behind the cards. The Install offline engine button sets it up, picks the models your card can run and starts it. You never open it.

Does Bloop Studio work on Mac?

Not yet. It supports Windows 10 and 11. Mac and Linux are not supported yet. On a Mac you can make films in the browser with Spaces.

Does Bloop Studio make sound, voices and music?

Yes. Video can come back with sound described in your prompt, and an Audio card makes voices, sound effects and music from its words on bloop's cloud models when you are signed in.

Is signing in safe?

Bloop Studio never sees your password. It opens a bloop page in your browser, where you log in and press Allow. You stay signed in for 90 days and can sign out any time.

Do I need a strong graphics card?

To render on your own GPU, yes: an NVIDIA card with 8 GB or more for pictures, and 12 GB or more for video with sound. With a smaller card, sign in with a bloop account and render in the cloud on any Windows 10 or 11 PC.
