Video Editor Overview
Meet the timeline editor — tracks, clips, and everything you need to create videos.
The Video Editor is a timeline-based tool for assembling video content. Combine clips, add music, overlay text, and apply transitions — all in your browser.
The Interface
Timeline
The timeline runs along the bottom of the screen. It is the core of the editor where you arrange your content over time. The playhead (vertical line) shows the current position. Drag it to scrub through your video.
Tracks
Tracks are horizontal lanes on the timeline. Each track holds one type of content:
- Video tracks — Video clips and images
- Audio tracks — Music, sound effects, voiceover
- Text tracks — Titles, captions, lower thirds
You can have multiple tracks of each type. Tracks stack vertically — higher tracks appear on top in the preview.
Preview Window
The preview window at the top shows what your video looks like at the current playhead position. Use the play button to watch your video in real time.
Media Library
The left panel contains your media library — all the clips, images, audio files, and assets available for your project. You can:
- Upload new files
- Import from Spaces (AI-generated content)
- Browse stock media
What You Can Create
- Social media videos — Short-form content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts
- Promotional videos — Product demos, sale announcements, event promos
- Slideshows — Image sequences with music and transitions
- Branded content — Videos with your logo, colors, and consistent style
Getting Content Into the Editor
There are several ways to start:
- Upload — Drag video or audio files directly into the media library
- Import from Spaces — Export your AI-generated content directly to the timeline
- Record — Use the built-in screen or camera recorder
