Working with Images

Images are essential to compelling designs. Learn how to add, edit, and enhance photos in the Canvas Editor.

Adding Images

Upload Your Own

  1. Click Images in left toolbar
  2. Click Upload
  3. Select files from computer
  4. Images add to your library

Drag and Drop

Simply drag image files directly onto the canvas.

From Your Library

  1. Click Images
  2. Browse uploaded images
  3. Click to add to canvas

Stock Photos

Search Stock Library

Access free stock photos:

  1. Click Images > Stock Photos
  2. Enter search terms
  3. Browse results
  4. Click to add

Search Tips

  • Be specific: "coffee shop interior"
  • Include mood: "happy team meeting"
  • Add colors: "blue ocean sunset"

Photo Credits

Stock photos are free to use. Credit is appreciated but not required.

Editing Images

Resize

  1. Select the image
  2. Drag corner handles
  3. Hold Shift for proportions

Crop

  1. Select image
  2. Click Crop
  3. Adjust crop area
  4. Apply crop

Rotate & Flip

  • Use rotation handle
  • Or right-click > Flip Horizontal/Vertical

Filters

Apply preset filters:

  1. Select image
  2. Click Filters
  3. Choose filter style
  4. Adjust intensity

Adjustments

Fine-tune images:

  • Brightness
  • Contrast
  • Saturation
  • Blur

Opacity

  1. Select image
  2. Adjust opacity slider
  3. Create transparency effects

Image Frames

Add Frame

  1. Select image
  2. Click Frame
  3. Choose frame style
  4. Customize colors

Frame Shapes

  • Rectangle
  • Circle
  • Rounded corners
  • Custom shapes

Replacing Images

Swap Image

  1. Select existing image
  2. Click Replace
  3. Choose new image
  4. Maintains size and position

Background Images

Set as Background

  1. Add image to canvas
  2. Right-click > Set as Background
  3. Image fills canvas

Background Options

  • Fit to canvas
  • Fill (may crop)
  • Tile/repeat

Best Practices

  1. Use high quality - At least 1080px wide
  2. Optimize file size - Compress large images
  3. Maintain aspect ratio - Avoid stretching
  4. Consider composition - Rule of thirds
  5. Check licensing - For non-stock images
