How the AI Storyboard works

The AI Storyboard is the fastest way to go from a one-line idea to a shot-by-shot film plan. Describe what you want to make and a director AI builds the whole board in front of you: the brief, the cast, the locations, every scene, the sound design, and a copy-paste prompt for each shot.

It plans for free. When you are ready to see it come to life, you sign up and render it into real stills and clips.

1. Describe your idea (free, no card)

Open the AI Storyboard and tell the director what you want to make in plain language, for example "a 30-second ad for a cold-brew coffee brand, cinematic, upbeat".

You can steer it as it works. Ask for a different tone, a new character, a punchier hook, or a specific look, and the board updates live.

2. Watch the board build

The director assembles your film one piece at a time, exactly like a real pre-production sheet:

• Brief & direction — the logline, audience and creative thesis.
• Cast & props — the recurring characters and hero objects, each with a @tag so they stay consistent across every shot.
• Locations — where each scene takes place.
• Scenes & shots — the film broken into scenes, then into individual shots, each with a size, camera move, and blocking.
• Sound — music, ambience and a spoken script (voiceover and dialogue).

Every shot comes with a ready-to-run prompt you can copy straight into any image or video model. On the free plan the first few scenes reveal their prompts; the rest stay locked as a preview.

3. Sign up to unlock and render

Signing up turns your free plan into a real, editable film in your workspace, with every prompt unlocked (including the scenes that were locked in the preview). New accounts get 150 free welcome credits to render with.

From the board you can:

• Generate a still for any scene to lock in the look.
• Render a clip for a scene as a one-shot video.
• Add voice by generating the narration and dialogue from the script.
• Export the whole board as a treatment to share or hand off.

Rendering spends credits, so start with a single shot to see the quality before you commit the rest.

4. Keep creating

When your welcome credits run out, you can subscribe to keep rendering (or top up credits as a one-off). The free storyboard never expires as a planning tool, so you can keep sketching new ideas any time.

Tips for a stronger board

• Be specific about the outcome. "A 15-second UGC unboxing for a skincare serum, handheld, bright" beats "a skincare video".
• Name your product and audience. The director writes sharper scenes when it knows who it is for.
• Refine in the chat. If a scene misses, just say what to change, do not start over.
• Copy prompts as you go. Each shot card has a Copy button for its image and video prompts.
