Connecting Your Facebook Page

Connect your Facebook business page to unlock social media management, automated responses, and analytics features.

Prerequisites

Before connecting, ensure you have:

  • A Facebook Business Page (not personal profile)
  • Admin access to the page
  • A Facebook account linked to the page

Step-by-Step Connection

Step 1: Navigate to Social Pages

  1. Click Social Pages in the sidebar
  2. Click Connect New Page

Step 2: Authenticate with Facebook

  1. Click Connect with Facebook
  2. Log in to your Facebook account (if not already)
  3. Review the permissions requested
  4. Click Continue

Step 3: Select Your Page

After authentication:

  1. You'll see a list of pages you manage
  2. Check the box next to pages you want to connect
  3. Click Connect Selected Pages

Step 4: Configure Page Settings

For each connected page, configure:

  • Auto-responder - Enable automatic message replies
  • Posting permissions - Allow scheduled posts
  • Analytics - Enable insights tracking

Understanding Permissions

MarketDragon requests these permissions:

Permission Purpose
pages_show_list View your pages
pages_read_engagement Access page insights
pages_manage_posts Create and schedule posts
pages_messaging Handle Messenger conversations

Managing Connected Pages

View Page Details

Click on a connected page to see:

  • Page insights and metrics
  • Recent posts
  • Message statistics
  • Audience demographics

Disconnect a Page

To remove a page:

  1. Go to the page settings
  2. Click Disconnect Page
  3. Confirm the action

Note: Disconnecting removes MarketDragon's access but doesn't delete any content from Facebook.

Troubleshooting

Page Not Showing

If your page doesn't appear:

  1. Ensure you have Admin role on the page
  2. Check that it's a Business Page, not a Profile
  3. Try re-authenticating with Facebook

Connection Failed

If connection fails:

  1. Clear browser cookies
  2. Log out of Facebook
  3. Try connecting again
  4. Contact support if issues persist
